WuYi Tea For Good Health

By WuYiReview | Aug 17, 2008

Wu Yi Diet TeaFor close to five hundred years already, Asians have depended on and taken advantage of the health benefits of the Wu-Yi tea. It got its name after Mt. Wuyi Shan, a mountainous region in China, where it is grown and harvested. Wu-Yi tea is, however, more commonly known as oolong or wu long tea.

Wu-Yi tea has earned the reputation as one of the safest and most effective herbal treatments for obesity, and it continues to gain recognition and acceptance worldwide, not just because of its weight-loss properties, but also because of its rich, full flavor and distinct aroma.

Wu-Yi tea undergoes an extensive fermentation process which results to the production of polyphenols, powerful substances that break down fats through a process known as lipolysis. Polyphenols stimulate certain enzymes to dissolve the fats, thereby increasing the body’s metabolism. Polyphenols are also found in green tea and black tea, but they are more abundant in Wu-Yi tea.

In an attempt to test the effectiveness of Wu-Yi tea in weight loss programs, participants were made to drink three to four cups of Wu-Yi tea everyday, and they attest to have lost between 10 to 15 pounds at the end of the program. Then again, how much you could lose depends a lot on your diet and exercise regimens.

In another study, 120 Japanese women were grouped into three. The first group was to drink water for six weeks, the other group had green tea, and the last group was given Wu-Yi tea to drink after meals. Those who had Wu-Yi tea had an increase in their energy levels by as much as 10%, while those who drank green tea increased their metabolism by only 4%. Those who only took water after meals had no change in their metabolic rate at all.

Wu-Yi tea is not just all about losing weight, though. The Wu-Yi tea has powerful antioxidant properties that protect you from cancer, heart disease, bone problems, and so on. Regularly taking Wu-Yi tea can even prevent the formation of plaque and tooth decay.

Wu-Yi tea has been around for hundreds of years already, and those who have tried and tested it have only good words to say about this tea from the Wuyi Mountains in China. Indeed, if you are aiming for good health, go for Wu-Yi tea, and you will not be disappointed.

This stuff is great! I just started up last week and already I am seeing great results! Seriously! My stomach is getting flatter and tighter, and my limbs are thinning too. I would definitely recommend a little bit of exercise to help tone with the weight loss.
    This stuff is amazing
